What to bring to the beach

12:37

Even though I'm still in school studying routine thanks to final exams, summer is finally around the corner and I've been to the beach a few times.
I decided to list a few things that I usually carry on my beach bag, just in case any of you are spending your vacations on the beach and have no idea on what to bring.

I chose a plastic/PVC bag, which is safer if you just came from the sea and are all wet and it gets all over your stuff. It's also a good option if you're going to be on the sand, and it's easier to clean.
As for size, it should be large enough to fit your towel and a few more essentials, and should have several pockets so you can keep your cellphone and wallet reachable but safe from water/sand.

The first thing you need is a bottle of water to keep hydrated.  Choose a pretty biquini/swimsuit, whatever you feel that is best for you; and flip-flops to walk around. I also always carry suncream, and this is extremely important to protect your skin from UVA/UVB rays and further damage (sun burns, cancer, wrinkles). The SPF should suit your skin type (if you're pale you'll need higher SPF). If you choose to use oil, bear in mind that most don't have SPF so go for a tanning lotion with sun protecting factor instead. Hair's protector or a hat is also a good idea if you don't want dry, damaged hair.
I also always bring sunglasses with me, especially when I'm going to a sand beach where I'll be laying in the sun for a long time or reading.

It's a good idea bring a comb and a clip, because I have long hair and it gets messy and I sometimes feel the need to pull it back.

And lastly, I have a small makeup bag where I bring a little mirror, SPF lip balm, moisturizer and an after sun lotion.
