Lancôme's L'Absolu Rouge Review

I'm reviewing L'Absolu Rouge nº134, Idole, which has been my favorite lipstick since I remember. My mother has been using this shade for more than 20 years and when I finally decided to try it, I instantly found everything about it great (colour, texture, smell).
This is a bright and intense red shade with SPF 12 and enriched with Pro-Xylane (an ingredient developed by Lancôme in 2006 that defends the skin against water loss) that softens and keeps lips moisturized for up to 8 hours.

In opposition to other cosmetics, this does not give me any kind of allergic reaction

L'Absolu Rouge's packaging is gorgeous, very simple yet elegant, in black and gold sporting the Lancôme's rose at the top.
It is available in 46 shades (browns-neutrals, pinks-berries and reds-corals) and applies easily just using the stick.

Regarding to it's aspect, it is slightly glossy and has the best texture: feels extremely comfortable and glides well, but I still feel the need to apply some lip balm prior to this, even thou it surely has a creamy texture.
This lipstick is very pigmented and lasts all day long. The smell is something characteristic, yet neutral, but nothing too special or relevant.

The best about this product is definitely it's lasting time. When I put this on by the morning, it's still on at night, even after eating and brushing my teeth!
